Wimbledon is an area in London, just like Bellevue is an area in Tauranga.
There is a very big tennis court there and a very big tournament is held there every year.
Can you find out anything about this tennis tournament on Google?
Mrs Seath went there yesterday to sit on the bank and watch the big screen . It costs lots of money to go and sit in the courts to watch the games. Mrs Seath saw the best player in the world play his game. His name is Rafael Nadal. He is Mrs Seath's favourite player.
Can you find what country he comes from?
I met a new friend there. His name is Wimbledon. I told him all about Room 8 at Bellevue School.
He is going to travel back to New Zealand with us. He is bigger than me!
Do you like him? I know he will like all of you in Room 8.
Hi Room 8!
Room 8 I have my own blog,
Now I can share all the things that I am doing.
I am having so many adventures, just like in the story "Otto the Book Bear".
Sharing @ Bellevue
We shared some of Otto's adventures with the children at the Junior assembly. Otto and Wimbledon came too.
Tower Bridge
Another famous place in London is Tower Bridge.
Find out!
What can you find out about 'Tower Bridge" in London?
It does something very special!
If you look on Google you should find out, then you can share it with the class.
Another castle!
This is the 'Tower of London'. I did not climb this wall. A King used to live here.
School time!
Just outside our bedroom window is a preschool. Then over the fence there is a primary school, like Bellevue.
Can you see the classrooms in the picture?
The children here are not on holiday at the moment but they will be soon. They will have their long summer holiday.
Why do they have their long holiday now in July?
Why do we have our long school holidays in December at Christmas?
Friends!

Wimbledon and I watched the Pre-school from our bedroom window.
York
York is a very old town in England. It is in an area of England called Yorkshire.
Can you Google 'York, England" and see what you can find out about York?
Look at the writing about York down below and see what I said I climbed.
Riding!
I am off for a ride. Why is there a yellow bike here? Let's Google "yellow bikes in York UK"
What am I up to?
Can you tell me what this picture shows?
Train museum

Look at the wheels!
... more wheels

Look at this old wheel on the wagon.
My favourite

Look at this very old engine.
Who is this?

Look who I saw at the train museum!
Before trains...

...this is how people travelled before there were trains. What can you discover from this photo?
