New Zealand

Today is the 15th of July. It our last day in England.
Tonight we will be flying back to New Zealand.
BUT night time here on Tuesday is morning time on Wednesday in New Zealand. So you will be up playing while we are going to the airport in the underground tube, which is the train.
We will go in one plane to Hong Kong and then after waiting 4 hours we will get another plane to Auckland.
It takes a whole day to fly that far.
Look on Google maps, or Google Earth or on a world globe.
Remember we looked at how far it is?
We are going from one side of the earth to the other side.
I hope we can get a sleep on the plane but it is not very comfortable sitting up and sleeping!

Soon we will be back to Bellevue School. Remember that Wimbledon is coming too!

Heading back to London!

Tomorrow we are heading back to London.
Where is London?
It is nearly time to come back to New Zealand.
You are having your school holidays. But soon we will be all be back at school.
What a lot of things we will have to talk about. I will be able to answer your questions and show you lots of photos that have not gone onto the blog.
Ryan will go back to Switzerland where he and Marina live. Blake and Jenna will be back in their home in London.
Mr and Mrs Seath have enjoyed spending so much time with their family and I have too.

Holiday

We have stayed at Blake's place in London, in England. We had lots of adventures and visited lots of places. Then we travelled to Ryan's place in Chiasso in Switzerland. We travelled by train and you have seen some of the places we went on the way.
Now we are all having a family holiday and having a family event in Portugal. None of us have been here before.
We stayed at a country 'Quinta'. It had an amazing swimming pool.
Now we have moved to a house by a river in the Douro Valley in Portugal. They grow lots of grapes in Portugal for drinks called wine and port. They grow lots of olives too. And there are lots of almond nuts.
It is a very dry country and the land is very rocky.

Off to France.

Wow! Room 8. Guess what I am doing today? I am going from England across the English Channel to France. The English Channel is a lot of water. I am going by train. How will the train get across the water? Can you find out? The traIn is called the Eurostar.
Wimbledon is not going. He is staying in England getting ready to come to New Zealand.

Wimbledon

Wimbledon is an area in London, just like Bellevue is an area in Tauranga.
There is a very big tennis court there and a very big tournament is held there every year.
Can you find out anything about this tennis tournament on Google?

Mrs Seath went there yesterday to sit on the bank and watch the big screen . It costs lots of money to go and sit in the courts to watch the games. Mrs Seath saw the best player in the world play his game. His name is Rafael Nadal. He is Mrs Seath's favourite player.

I met a new friend there. His name is Wimbledon. I told him all about Room 8 at Bellevue School.
He is going to travel back to New Zealand with us. He is bigger than me!

To York

Room 8, I went from London to York on a train. Can you find York on Google Earth?

York is a very old town. I even climbed a castle wall.

I went to a huge railway museum. Trains were everywhere.
